Visita Iglesia is one of my Holy Week traditions since I was a kid. And now that I have my own family, I want my kids to experience and continue doing this Holy Week tradition. Since my husband had to work yesterday (Maundy Thursday), we decided to have our Visita Iglesia on Good Friday. This was our first family Visita Iglesia, another core memory for our kids!

Some choose to visit 14 churches to match the 14 Station of the Cross, but we visited 7 churches with our kids. Why 7 Churches? because it mainly signifies the seven holy sites related to Jesus’ arrest and trials : (source fb.catholicknowstheanswerofficialpage)

  1. Garden of Gethsemane
  2. The House of Annas
  3. Tribunal of Caiphas the High Priest
  4. Trial before Pilate
  5. Trial before Herod
  6. From Herod back to Pilate
  7. From Pulate to Golgotha (Calvary)

And because we live in Parañaque, we decided to visit 7 Parañaque churches. Sharing our list, in case you might want to consider visiting Parañaque for Visita Iglesia too.
