We LOVE potatoes, and why not?
They taste great, are readily available and light on the budget. Potatoes are a versatile food. They can be boiled, baked, fried, mashed, dehydrated and sauteed. That is why I always make sure that we have potatoes in our pantry.
Potatoes are a nutritious addition to my family’s meals because they contain several essential vitamins and minerals. Potatoes are a good source of quality complex carbohydrates and also rich in vitamin B6, fiber, iron, and protein!
Did you know that potatoes are also an excellent source of vitamin C and a good source of potassium? Potatoes are also free of fat, sodium, and cholesterol! Whole food sources, like potatoes, that arerich in potassium and low in fat and sodium may reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.
And because we love potato dishes, I will share an easy to cook potato dish that your family will surely love, too, – U.S. Potato Hash Brown Casserole.
Potatoes, sour cream, cheese, butter, onion – all that yummy goodness in one dish! It is perfect for breakfast and is a delicious side. And one of the best things about my U.S. Potato Hash Brown Casserole is that it’s super quick to prepare. It’s done in 30 minutes!
