Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) takes home notable distinctions at the 29th KBP Golden Dove Awards for its educational shows that highlight Filipino heritage and promote early holistic development for young learners.
Its flagship educational travel show, “WOW Kidapawan,” wins Best Culture & Arts Program. The show is hosted by KCFI vice president Edric Calma, who takes viewers on an engaging journey through the city and its communities.
Meanwhile, its kindergarten show “Kinder Yes!” was hailed as the Best Children’s Program during the awards festivities. Co-produced by Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. and Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI), “Kinder Yes!” promotes early intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development among young Filipino children through engaging activities that make learning fun and meaningful.
“These awards affirm that educational content for Filipino children can be engaging, culturally relevant, and excellent. Through these programs we hope to help children build strong foundations for learning while deepening their appreciation of Filipino culture and identity. We also hope to provide teachers with engaging video lessons that enrich classroom learning and make lessons more meaningful for children,” said Rina Lopez, KCFI president and co-founder.
“Through our partnership with Knowledge Channel, ‘WOW Kidapawan’ brings Kidapawan’s natural and cultural heritage closer to Filipino learners, and inspiring greater appreciation for biodiversity and conservation,” said Maria Nancy P. Ibuna, head of corporate relations and communications of Energy Development Corporation.
“We are honored that ‘KinderYes!’ has been recognized for its contribution to early childhood education.
